            MI/CMI is composed of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-thiazoline-3-ketone (CMI) and 2-methyl-4-thiazoline-3-k etone (MI). The bactericidal effect of MI/CMI is carried out through breaking the bond between bacteria and algae protein.
